Karolina Bregula

Karolina Breguła was born on 13 January 1979 in Katowice. She graduated from a Secondary school in Cieszyn. She studied English philology and the Swedish language in Krakow, where she took to photography and participated in the first photographic workshop. In 1999 she went to Sweden to study GFU photography at Folkuniversitet in Stockholm. She also worked there one year as an English teacher in an international kindergarten, where she experienced the problem of intolerance, which is common for immigrants in Sweden. That was an incentive to take a series of photos of children from all over the world. Simultaneously she got involved in the promotion of foreign cultures and fight against intolerance. She worked as a concert photographer for one year where she recorded the musical events of the Stockholm club Alhuset. In the summer 2002 she was an official photographer of the rock festival Popaganda. She came to Warsaw in the autumn 2003, where she is an assistant film director, she prepares her diploma project in the European Academy of Photography. She also promotes and supports organizations for intolerance fighting.
